Robert started his career at Advanced 2007. He was recruited by the Newcastle Jets and after a 4 year successful stint in professional sport as the Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services, has returned here to continue his career. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from professional sport.
What is it that you enjoy about working at Advanced Physio?
This practice provides me with a facility better than or equivalent to professional sport. It allows me the opportunity to deliver the best possible treatments available, and work with a fantastic team.
What additional study or qualifications do you have?
I am a qualified Exercise Physiologist and am undertaking my Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through Latrobe University. I have done extensive professional development including Sports Physiotherapy, dry needling, shoulder physiotherapy and spinal physiotherapy.
What conditions or people do you have a special interest in?
I have a passion for treating all lower limb injuries and after 4 years working full-time with the Newcastle Jets as Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services, have developed world-class rehabilitation and prevention programs for lower limb soft tissue injuries. This knowledge transfers well into treating the non-athletic population, with problems such as osteoarthritis and rehabilitation of knee replacements and other knee surgery.
